• GURUDWARA SHRI GURUSAR SAHIB is situated in village Kattu Distt Barnala. This Gurudwara is situated at a distance of 13 Km Southeast of Barnala City on Barnala -Sangrur Road in Village Kattu, District Barnala, Punjab.
The Ninth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji visited this place in 1665 during his journey of Malwa region and came from Village Sekha. Along with GURU SAHIB was Mata Nanako Ji, Mata Gujari Ji, Mama Kirpal Chand Ji, Bhai Gurbaksh Ji, Bhai Mati Das Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji. Guru Ji tied his horse with a Jand tree and sat on the side of a pond on a mound. Guru Ji had a discourse with a recluse, Dhian Das who lived in a hut nearby. The Villagers came to listen to Guru ji who explained the teachings of Guru Nanak Ji. Guru Ji said : Kahe Re Ban Khojan Jai, Sarab Niwasi Sada Ulepa Tohi Sang Samai, meaning Why do you go to forests in search of God, He is present everywhere yet ever-detached and lives in everyone's heart. Many people became Guru Ji's followers.
SHRI GURU TEGBAHADUR SAHIB JI came here while on Malwa Tour. Local Sangat of Village and Bhai Dhana Jatt served GURU SAHIB with great devotion. Bhai Dhana Jatt asked GURU SAHIB what is the way to achieve God. GURU SAHIB uttered,
"Kahe re Ban Khojan Jaye"
