• GURUDWARA SHRI PATSHAHI NAUVIN SAHIB is situated in village Sekha, Distt Barnala. This Gurudwara is situated at a distance of 12 Km East of Barnala City and 18 Km West of Dhuri in Village Sekha, District Barnala, Punjab.
The Ninth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji visited Village Sekha in 1665 during his journey of Malwa region. At that time Village Sekha used to be a cluster of 22 Villages called 'Bahia' ruled by Chaudhri Tirloka. The peasants of Javandas Clan used to reside here. They were followers of Bairagi Sadhu Durga Das.
Guru Ji stayed here for 2 Days on the side of a pond. Both Durga Das and Chaudhri Tirloka did not pay due respect to Guru Ji. However, a person named Durgu, who had settled in the Village after his marriage with a Javanda girl, served Guru Ji with respect. The Chaudhri Tirloka asked Guru Ji to leave the village. Guru Ji got angry and cursed the Bahia by saying 'Bahia Hoju Thehia' meaning Bahia will collapse into a heap of debris. Thereafter, Guru Ji asked Durgu to go back to his native Village and himself started his journey again and reached Village Kattu. Later on Chaudhri Tirloka came to know about the curse and sought Guru Ji's pardon for his misbehaviour through his sister at Village Kattu. The old water pond has been converted into a sarovar.
